Tooth-Colored Crowns

If you have a structurally damaged tooth, you may need a crown to restore function and beauty. Dr. Brunner, Dr. Neuschaefer and Dr. Schwartz place tooth-colored crowns made of fine dental ceramic so that your smile maintains its all-white beauty. In some cases, we may recommend porcelain-fused-to-metal or metal crowns to ensure longevity.

To place a crown, you'll need to plan on two visits to our office. In your first appointment, your dentist will prepare your tooth, take an impression for our dental lab, and place a temporary crown to protect your tooth until the next visit. Our laboratory will create a custom-fitted and custom-shaded crown out of dental porcelain. Your second appointment will entail removal of the temporary and permanent placement of the lab-crafted crown. Dr. Brunner, Dr. Schwartz or Dr. Neuschaefer will make sure that the fit is correct before you leave our office.
