In fact, many patients report that they can\u2019t believe how painless it was! But even with that reassurance, it\u2019s understandable to want to know how root canals in Brookfield can benefit you and what to expect at your appointment.<\/p>\n

What Is a Root Canal and Why Do You Need One?<\/h2>\n

A root canal procedure is done to save a tooth that would otherwise need to be extracted because the nerve is infected. This infection can occur because the tooth as a large cavity or fracture, or has been injured in an accident.<\/p>\n

What Can You Expect at Your Appointment?<\/h2>\n

Your dentist in Brookfield will start by taking a single x-ray of the tooth to assess the extent of the damage. Next, they\u2019ll make sure you\u2019re completely numb and comfortable before starting the procedure.<\/p>\n

Since the root canal removes the tooth\u2019s blood supply, it can become brittle and break easily from chewing forces if it isn\u2019t reinforced with a crown.<\/p>\n
