Another post on the more personal side of things! Lots of fun and exciting things are happening!

nikkiThis month, Nikki and her husband Nick have purchased a beautiful new home! It was lacking the care and attention it needed, so they are in the middle of many detailed remodeling projects. New walls, new kitchen and new floors! They are spending all their extra time and energy after their already long work hours, learning all the tricks of the trade and making the place their own. We can’t wait to see the final product and we are defiantly looking forward to the house warming party!

Over the weekend, Amanda and her boyfriend Mike got engaged! They spent a wonderful weekend together up north where he proposed at the end of the pier. Tentative wedding could be masmal1for May of 2010. She has also been admitted into the clinical program for Dental Hygiene at WCTC and will be starting there in August. Two full years of school and she will take her state board exams to become a registered Dental Hygienist! The long road will be well worth the work!

Summer Schedule & College Students

college1As summer vacations begin and many of our college age students are traveling home, many parents are excited and anxious to schedule them to come in for their routine dental visit. It is so important not to forget the significance of dental cleanings and exams while college students are busy and away at school. Most of our patients do their best to arrange their schedules so that they are seen during summer, but our appointments are booking up quickly! Consider this: an average dental hygiene appointment can take 1 to 6 weeks to schedule depending on the individuals flexibility. If any cavities are detected at the exam, we will also need time to schedule them to see one of our doctors for the restorative work. We are doing our best to add hours as needed and meet the needs of our patients and look forward to seeing all of you soon!

A Whiter Smile!

whiteeth2As warmer and sunnier weather FINALY approaches us, we all look forward to updating our looks and styles to match our good moods! Spending time at the gym, a new hair color, new outfits, a golden tan-all these things we do in celebration of summer weather. Why not whiten your smile too? At Elmbrook Family Dental, we offer 2 types of whitening procedures to our patients. Our first option is an in-office procedure called Britesmile. This is a one appointment procedure. We will apply the whitening gel and allow your teeth to be exposed to a light created specifically for this process. Patients may see results as great as 6 to 10 shades whiter! Our second option is custom “take home” whitening trays. There is a 30 minute appointment scheduled to take impressions of your upper and lower teeth. Then within 1 to 2 weeks, we schedule a second brief appointment to pick your trays up from our office. Directions for at home application are discussed at that time. Whitening is completed over a few weeks as you whiten while you sleep! The trays can be used as long as your teeth maintain that same position and shape. “Touch ups” can be done as needed! Call our office for pricing and to schedule an appointment today! We also draw 1 lucky winner every month to receive whitening trays for free! Stop by to enter our drawing during business hours!

Our 24-hour emergency care…

“After searching for someone to take care of an extreme toothache on the weekend, Dr Brunner found the time for a root canal and an extraction even though I was a new patient who just moved to Brookfield. That was above and beyond excellent service. That was life saving.”

A review from a real patient of ours

Emergencies… we’ve all had them. Emergencies can be quite scary, not knowing how to react, what to do, who to call. Most of the time you can go to the emergency room at the local hospital to be treated, but what happens if it’s your tooth that’s broken and hurting? Here at our office, we hear stories often about people going name-by-name through their phone book trying to find a dental office that is open – or willing to see them. We hear these stories because their search stopped at our office, and we began a lifelong friendship with them at one of their toughest times.

At Elmbrook Family Dental, we have someone on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. One of our doctors is always available to address your emergency, and we pride ourselves on that fact.

If you find yourself in a situation like the above patient, don’t hesitate to call our office at any time of day. Our phone number is 262-784-7201 and if it is after business hours, the answering machine will prompt you with a phone number to contact the doctor on call.
