liverThe Food and Drug Administration has just released new information regarding the correlation between the use of acetaminophen and liver damage. Acetaminophen is an ingredient in aspirins as well as other medications used in dental pain management. Some examples of these are Percocet and Vicodin. At this point they still consider these medications to be safe for short term use with healthy patients. They may consider changing the reccomended dose. It is important for our patients to be honest and discuss any health concerns with health care providers so they are treated with the best care possible. Below is the article the ADA posted on their web site. Please follow the link for detailed information.
